From there, the innovator, Dr. Cotca, and our manufacturing team work together throughout the rest of the process. Innovators come to the program with deep expertise in their own field and a clear vision for their device, and turning that vision into something that can actually be machined is a separate discipline that our team handles. Dr. Cotca contributes her understanding of healthcare protocols and requirements alongside our experience in technical design and manufacturing, and the three sides work through each concept until it reaches a form that can be built. From there, it is moved through prototyping and into full production. The innovator remains involved throughout, from the first sketch to the finished part.
