How quoting works

Four steps. No surprises.

01
Send your files
Upload STEP, IGES, DWG, or a PDF sketch via the contact form.
02
Machinist review
A machinist reviews your part, not a salesperson. We flag DFM issues, suggest material substitutions, and confirm scope.
03
Quote returned
Most quotes return within one business day. Complex projects may take 2–3 days. We'll flag it upfront. Includes piece price, lead time, and any noted DFM recommendations.
04
Approved → in production
PO accepted, material released, part runs. Material certs included. Repeat orders pick up where the last one left off.
Common Questions

Questions buyers and engineers actually ask.

STEP and IGES for 3D models, DWG and DXF for 2D drawings, and PDF for sketches or annotated prints. We can also work from a photo of a sample part if no drawings exist.
Most quotes go out within one business day. Complex projects (high quantities, exotic materials, unusual geometry, or specialized finishing) may take 2–3 days. If we need more time on a specific job, we'll let you know when we receive your RFQ rather than leaving you to wonder.
One piece. Most prototype work is single-piece; low-volume production typically falls between 50 and 5,000 pieces per release.
We're a 26-year vertical milling shop focused on commercial, industrial, and R&D work. We source DFARS-compliant materials with mill certs available on request and maintain documented supplier traceability for specialty metals. If your project requires specific quality certifications such as ISO 9001 or AS9100, let's talk about your scope. We may still be the right fit for parts of your supply chain.
No. Surface finishing is handled through trusted Michigan partners. We coordinate the work so it appears as a single line item on our quote and ships back to you in one package.
Yes, come meet us. We're at 1250 Rankin St in Troy, MI, open Mon–Fri 9AM–5PM. Walk in or call (248) 953-3417 first if you want to be sure we're not on the floor.
